Congrats Staci and Corey

On Saturday afternoon, Broc's niece Staci married Corey. The wedding was outdoors and beautiful. The weather was a little iffy that morning, (rainy and cloudy) but it turned out to be perfect weather for an outdoor wedding.

Here is Broc standing with his brother Ron and his wife Laurie, and one of Broc's sisters (also the mother of the bride) Sharie.

This is the only picture I got of the married couple (walking in to the reception).
We wish you many happy years together! Thanks for the privilege of sharing in your special day!

Girls Night Out

Friday evening, Dana, Carly, Allyson and I did a little shopping and went out to eat at Olive Garden. We all had a great time!

No Playing Around Fire

We went camping last weekend. It was a little chilly, but we had a good time. Saturday the kids were thrilled to "walk" Brian and Doni's dog Sophie.

Allyson was having so much fun walking the dog. She was doing such a good job, but would watch the dog and not where she was walking. Around 6 pm, she tripped on the fire pit (that was full of hot ashes, but no flame) and fell in. We immediately put water on her hands. We decided to take her to the emergency room to get things cleaned well. Allyson did so well while we were in the ER. She cried, but after we were finished, she said it was because she was scared she was going to get a shot. For a treat, she wanted a sucker. Here she is on the way back to the campground (she still wanted to camp - just not walk Sophie anymore) with her left hand wrapped and her right wrist wrapped, and both legs below the knee wrapped.

Here are a few pictures of her wounds. Her right wrist (not hand - because she was holding the dog leash!) and some blisters on the fingers on the left hand.

Her right leg has quite a few burn areas below the knee. Her left leg just had a scrape from the fire pit.

Here is Allyson and her Webkinz horse Copper, after her bath, before we put the "frosting" on her burns and cover them.

ABC's Scraps

Wanted to mention that I started a blog especially for my scrap stuff. I had the privilege to be a guest CT for Janice at JW Digi-Scraps and thought I would share, but wanted to keep my scrap stuff and my personal blog separate. I have created a link on the sidebar - so you know when it is updated, but feel free to check in anytime and I love comments!
You can also get there from here.

Tulip Festival '09

Thursday evening, the kids and I went to the Tulip Festival.
It is always fun to see all the beautiful tulips in bloom. We watched the parade and enjoyed the nice evening.

Mother's Day

This year for Mother's Day, the Sunday School kids sang 2 song in church. They sang "Who is the King of the Jungle, and I'm in the Lord's Army.
Caden did a super job - he sang so well and did the actions with excitement. Allyson pretty much stood there like she is in this picture. She didn't want to sing.

After church, we stopped home to change clothes and then go to my Grandpa and Grandma V for lunch. Carly came home with us and we took a picture of the girls.

Caden took this picture and insisted that I put it on the computer. Kinda fuzzy because lately Allyson has been taking my camera and taking pictures of her stuff. (somehow the settings get changed in the process - so the camera is in hiding when I am not using it)

National Scrapbook Day

What did you do to celebrate National Scrapbook Day?
Well, I spent most of the day enjoying the beautiful weather. I was able to get a couple layouts completed. Here are 2 to share with you.

Trikathon

This past week, the kids had a Trikathon at daycare. They got to take their bikes along and ride them at 2 different times during the day. It was a great time. The next day, Caden was disappointed that he couldn't take his bike along again.
